The best way to determine what time of day is best is through your stats, but I normally find that mid morning is a good time. I have a unique word-a-day website where I send a post each day inside an amazing fact -- so for me, the question is not "what time of the week" but "what time of day"? At first I thought maybe early in the morning, but then maybe people will tend to just push it aside with all of the other freshly unread messages. I guess its a combination of asking what is best and looking at the statistics. I was just wondering about this myself.
